POSITION: Professional Services Consultant
Arigo is seeking a hands-on Professional Services Consultant to lead customer facing projects in the areas of new account deployments, upgrades, client-specific configuration. It is critical to the success of this role that the Professional Services Consultant has the ability to understand supply chain/global trade management business issues and map those business issues to the Arigo solutions and configuration capability. This person will be an expert in project management and deployment practices.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management
- Project examples: Audits, upgrades, new installations, PSO projects
- Organize project plans and share/maintain them
- Get sign off and approvals from all stakeholders
- Incorporate all tasks and indicate resource, timeline, pre-requisites, notes, etc. utilizing project management software
- Writing and approving SOW/scope documents that are detailed and minimize scope creep
- Gathering input from the team – digesting and presenting as a unified response/solution
- Appropriate, consistent, and clear communications with internal/external contacts
- Customer facing technical lead
- Software installations
- Technical issue trouble shooting
- Advise clients on software best practice, hardware/software requirements
- Enterprise Software configuration
- Technical background to develop proficiency in demonstrating and configuring solutions
- Familiarity with supply chain management processes and challenges in the retail industry
- Hands on ability to develop and present solution demonstrations to client/prospect executives
- Track application issues and feed details into Product management and development on a timely basis
- Participate in the pre-sales process to understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements, in order to develop effective solutions and accurate estimates
- General
- Maintain domain expertise, including the latest industry trends, challenges, and best practices
- Troubleshooting and recommending alternatives to resolve conflicts between business requirements and standard system functionality
- Diagnose customer pain points and quantify business impacts of problems
- Map customer pain points to specific Arigo modules/services and determine appropriate configuration
- Hands on application expert – typical software engineering background
- Experience in developing/implementing various test strategies (Module, Integration, User-Acceptance, and Stress-Test) and experience in developing training materials
- Exercise judgment on methods and techniques for obtaining solutions within generally defined practices and policies
- Identification of red flags – appropriate escalation with solutions
Skills Required:
- Technical education (BS, MS) - B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training
- Demonstrated success defining and deploying large software projects
- 2 years experience preferred in:
- Retail or supply chain industry
- Oracle, Websphere, Tomcat
- Enterprise software installations
- Enterprise supply chain applications/web-based applications
- Customer facing project management role
- Self starter attitude and work ethic
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel up to 50 percent
- Excellent people management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- High degree of professionalism and integrity

LOCATION: This position is headquartered in North Billerica, MA, a suburb of Boston, MA.
COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and includes base, bonus, stock options, 401k, and full benefits package.
